Reflections of 2021 & Looking onto 2022

The end of any year brings the beginning of so much change in our own lives, however, after 2021 the end of this year and the beginning of a new year brings momentous decisions about our health and our futures and how we want to live our lives.

The virus has propelled us and the world into a reality that requires us to look more deeply into everything. Politics, health, freedom of choice are all colliding in a world of confusing messages that are difficult to find the true meaning of it all on the surface of the information.

We are in a world of learning, where information flows and our own openness to it will define our ability to make very informed choices about our futures.

There is a particularly good saying that the media and money can make, “the good look bad and the bad look good “. I think we all need to be very discriminating with all that is said at present and realise, like never before, that our health (which is so much more than the absence of disease) is your most valuable asset.

Your mind and heart live in your body, yet when your body is impacted by poor decisions and choices on so many levels (like stress, food, sleep, thinking too much) the cost is not simply the body, but also the mind and heart. Everything begins to change. We lose the joy and contentment that is life - our real source of happiness.

We become confused by the mind, it’s called the mistake of the intellect; thinking that those precious inner-gifts of life, our inner state are based on achievement and the act of more activity and doing more. Those traits are about material achievement, wealth creating, which without a doubt are essential and very important parts of our life and energy, creativity, goal-setting and focus. However, when they are overshadowing the inner reality with fatigue or stress and the body is no longer supporting your life as it’s meant to be you lose your one vibrational asset - good luck.

Good luck is positivity in heart and mind, call it emotional resonance, vibrational attraction.

It is the real secret to greater success without it the journey of life simply becomes a bit of a struggle. Relationships get affected, we begin habits that temporarily remove any negativity but increase the problem.

Life is a slippery slope.

We have to remain connected to a deeper reality within ourselves, which transcends our own thoughts and connects us to an intelligence that manages our bodies and our environment intelligence. Twenty minutes twice a day of meditation will be the most incredibly valuable, long-term investment you will ever make for every aspect of your life.

With 2022 on the horizon, 2021 has been a year where some thrived, others survived and sadly many around the world did not. Wherever you are and whatever your culture or nationality in the world celebrating Christmas is really a time of deep, spiritual reflection, appreciation of differences in family and life and embracing the deeper levels of gratitude, kindness, forgiveness and realising that peace starts within us.

The is world as we are.
